Canon Professional Services, USA

After the announcement last fall, Canon USA has finally taken Canon Professional Services (”CPS”) live. In order to be a part of CPS, you must be a full time professional photographer who owns a requisite amount of Canon gear.

Canon CPS Qualifications:

Silver Member
2 Canon 20D or greater bodies
3 Pro lenses
No annual fee

Gold Member
2 Canon 20D or greater bodies
3 Pro lenses
$100 annual fee

Platinum Member
2 Canon 5D or greater bodies
3 Pro lenses
$500 annual fee

The higher membership level you are, the more benefits you get. For example, Platinum members get loaner equipment when their gear is being repaired. Gold members get loaners if their equipment isn’t back in the turnaround period. Silver members get no loaners. Repair discounts also increase with each level -- 20% off for Silver, 30% off for Gold, 60% off for Platinum.

Registration is now done through a convenient web form that just asks for your contact info and equipment serial numbers (unlike the old paper forms that required clips and other proof that you were, in fact, a "pro".)

Additional info is available on the Canon USA CPS site -- http://www.usa.canon.com/cps.
