Myspace Obessions and the Self Portrait
So I admit to being one of the many who have been hypnotized by Myspace... however, I have found it to be both a positive and negative issue.
On the negative side, I spend way too much time in front of my computer instead of being out somewhere with my camera...
On the positive side, I've found it to be a great way of spreading the word about my photography business!
One of the other positive/negative side effects is that I've gotten to be very lazy with the self portrait. I've been reduced to the handheld myspace poses... *sigh. However, I am learning how to be more and more creative within that box, which I'm hoping in the long run will help me be even more creative when I step outside the box once again and use one of my many lovely tripods. I do admit though that one of the other reasons I've been too lazy to set up my tripod is that I have yet to buy a remote for my camera and I'm tired of running back and forth to set the self-timer.

hope to be able to provide a means for you to bring in your photo streams from sites like MySpace, Flickr and Picasa with our next big upgrade. Perhaps by the end of this year, depending on how the tech evolves. That way you can participate in you favorite open network and bring the same work in here to have a bit more privacy and pointed discussions. Idea is to upload it once and share it across multiple sites.
