Self Portraits
Since I don't have a lot of free time right now to take many clients for my business, I have been taking my few spare minutes here and there to work on my self portrait. I love self portraiture because I can show the world how I see myself.

Reminds me I should work on this myself.
No offense Donn (and this is almost too easy) - you and I may shy way from self portraits for a reason....Lindsey actually rates being on the other side of the camera...hehehehehe
Seriously though, I like them too; like Donn said, it just looks like you were having fun.
Self portraits can be done a lot of different ways, and part of the creative challenge that we should ALL be tasked with is coming up with something even if the material is, shall we say, less than ideal :)
There is no "easy button" for us :)
OK, I admit, you are better looking than I. How to light my nose IS quite the challenge.
Thanks for the comments. It's funny that you say I look like I enjoy being on the other side of the camera. These photos actually turned out to be a very personal expression of some of the life changes I've been going through. I've always hated being in front of the camera. Pretty recently I've been opening up and becoming much more adventurous. I didn't realize it when I was taking these pictures (all done in one shooting) but it became a series representing the blossoming of my personality. I used to be very shy but at the same time I was very honest and upfront about who I was, thus, the eyes (the window to the soul) are really the only thing visible. The second shows me flirting with the idea of not hiding. The last expresses moments I open up and embrace life with all that I am. I think that I am still a little of each of the images.
i suppose immitation is the best form of flattery.
snarky! that's a great word.
and i mean't that jestfully as well.
=)
So I've added a couple more shots to this series. As you can tell I'm leaning more towards black and white. I guess in this theme of self-discovery, the more I've looked at images of myself the more I discovered my favorite feature are my eyes. I love how so much of the feel of an image can be changed by a person's eyes.
