What to do with all those old slides and negs...
I know many of us (from the olden days of film cameras) probably have our own slide scanners for digitizing slides, but for those of you who don't or just don't have the time to scan old slides and negs, I discovered a neat website -- http://www.scancafe.com
You send them a box of slides, they scan, make standard corrections (color, exposure, scratch removal), post your photos online and also burn them to disks. You pay only for the ones your want to keep (you can delete and not pay for up to half of what they scan)!
I am thinking about doing it with some of my old stuff, at least for archiving purposes. And who knows what I have that I have quite frankly forgotten about!

Wow that is a bargain!
Has anyone tried this service yet? Is it quality?
I'll send some in and report back.

I have not tried it yet, but my aunt was going to send in a bunch of old slides of family for her scrapbooking. I need to ask her if she has done it yet... that will be interesting test as many of those probably need some correction/restoration.
